Do you enjoy having your picture taken?

Let's face it, stepping in front of a professional camera can be uncomfortable, intimidating. Even downright terrifying. Why? We feel vulnerable, as if the camera is seeing and judging all our flaws. Even if you are a confident person, when that big camera is pointed in your direction, it can bring up self-doubt and fear. Yikes! It's no wonder so many of us avoid the camera.

So, how do you navigate the anxiety and end up with a fantastic headshot, one that oozes with confidence? The answer is simple. It’s not your problem. We’re responsible for how you look. It’s our duty to make you look great. We coach you on the right eyes, the right mouth, the right posture, the right expression. Many photographers expect their client's to know how to look great in front of a camera. Not us. We’re here to help. Taking fabulous headshots is not what you do, it's what WE do–every day.

“But I’m not photogenic.” We hear that all the time. The truth is you don't have to be. All you need is a trained & experienced portrait artist who knows how to make your eyes dance, your expression sing. We accentuate your strengths and diminish your flaws. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION

First things first - when you arrive at our spacious studio, you can expect to be greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile. All the while, we’re asking questions, reviewing your outfits, trying to better understand your work, your life, your brand.

If you've opted for hair & makeup, our stylist will welcome you and begin the beautification.

After you’re tuned up and ready to go, it's time to step in front of our lights. They can be rather bright at first, so we give everyone a few minutes to adjust. At the same time, we take a few test shots to make sure everything is just right. Then we coach you on a few simple techniques for looking your best.

Once you’re comfortable, the fun begins. We start shooting. Every session is a collaborative effort. Our goal is to elicit a winning look, a winning expression. We'll be pushing buttons, distracting you, offering tips, insights, and direction every step of the way. Maybe making a few silly jokes. Remember, getting you to look awesome in your headshots is 100% our job–not yours.

All of our advanced coaching and direction is designed to capture your authentic self and convey confidence, professionalism, and approachability.

As your session moves along, we’ll review a couple images to make sure that you love what we’re capturing.

This is a collaborative effort, so we encourage your feedback. Our #1 priority is to get you amazing headshots. We take no offense. If something isn’t working, it's easy to shift gears.

We will continue to review images during wardrobe changes. Expressions tend to get better as the session progresses and you get more comfortable. We never enforce a strict time limit on a session. We shoot until we have enough great shots.
